This is with reference to the Supreme Court judgement on Aadhaar dated Sep 26, 2018, basis which the bank has taken following decisions:
1. Customer on-boarding for non-DBT customers using Aadhaar e-KYC shall be stopped with immediate effect on both assisted (Micro-ATM/ Counter) and self-service channels (Mobile Banking App).
2. On-boarding of DBT Customers through Aadhaar based e-KYC shall continue. Accounts opened as such shall be a fully-operational supporting all transactions including money transfers, bill payments etc. using Aadhaar authentication.
The system is being modified to enable an upfront declaration by the customer that s/he is a DBT beneficiary prior to proceeding with the account opening process. In view of the same, the account opening services for DBT customers will be temporarily disabled on Oct 25, 2018 and resume on Oct 26, 2018.
3. Transaction services for existing customers will be available as per the existing process.
