The recruitment effort of IPPB got enthusiastic participation. It received more than 7.5 lakh applicants for vacancies in scales I-VII.

IPPB conducted the examination for scale II, III, and V posts on 17th  December 2016, at 237 centers across the country. For these posts IPPB received approximately 30,000 applications.

We thank all the Department officers who carried out the role of venue officers. The professionalism shown by the Department was appreciated and applauded by IBPS as well as the Department leadership.

Creating awareness around IPPB through sensitization sessions


IPPB sensitization sessions have been conducted for ~230 Group A staff and ~1800 Group B officers across circles. Circles have commenced the sensitization of Group C staff and GDS. ~ 50,000 Group C and GDS have already been sensitized, and by 31st December 2016 it is expected the remaining staff in these groups will have been sensitized.

Government provides incentives for digital payments; waives off service tax on MDR for payments up to Rs 2,000


Keen to bring about a radical shift from cash to digital transactions, the government announced 11 incentives to encourage e-payments a month after it cancelled the legal tender status of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
